What if...the Church

There are so many "What If"s out there when it comes to the church. People working in ministry ask it them everyday! "What if we bought this!?" "What if we showed that?" "What if we indoctrinated this?" "What if we played that?"

I believe that some of these are great questions. They are questions that could change the congregation and the ministry as a whole for the better or for the worst. I think the problem comes in when we forget about the "What If"s of the church that REALLY matter in the long run.

I am currently working through the book of Acts and it has really gave me some solid insight into God's will and God's plan for the local church and He is REALLY pumping me up to do some messages based on what I am learning. I am so excited to share what God is revealing to me. In the upcoming weeks I will talk about these "What If"s that need to be at the back of our minds at ALL times as we go through our daily lives in our ministries. So stay tuned guys! I am so excited for what God is doing in me right now!

I am getting bad at this!

Why do I always slack off during the summer? WHY!? Anyway...I am back here on my blog and ready to kick butt. I have started doing some cool things on YouTube. Brushing up on the old debating skills and talking to some people about Jesus! :P I have met some people on there that are REALLY into spreading the Word of God and the love of Christ! One in particular is ForgivenServant who seems VERY eager to get out there are start gettin the job done! I am so thankful for that due to the fact that it is such a rare find to meet someone that wants to spread the word of God AND has a good head on his shoulders. Another person that I think will be a key player here on YT is PaulGem123. He is....well....I believe he is a Messianic Jew. Never really put a name on what he calls himself in our discussions. His command and knowledge of the law and the old testament will be EXTREMLY valuable in the future. I have had some very good conversations with him. Also, ForgivenServant (Luke) and I are feeling like there is something bigger that could be going on here. For too long Christians have spread thin over the expanse of YouTube and allowed themselves to be pumbled by critisicm and hatred! We need to create a network, a community, a brethren on YouTube of Christians who are bent on spreading the love of Christ so that we can lift each other up and band together our resources, abilities, knowledge, and talents. I need to figure out a way to pull this off. I am going to be praying about it and asking God what He would have me do or if He even wants me to be the one creating something like this. It may be another's calling to pull this together and God tells me to just be a contributor. We'll just have to wait and see. All I know is this NEEDS to happen and it NEEDS to happen NOW!

Let's talk about books now. Well....a book. It is called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Most amazing find ever. I was suggested this book by my dad a while back and finally picked it up a couple weeks ago and it is rocking my world. If I ever start an organizaiton then EVERY emplyee will be required to read this. The book is to the point, informative, and best of all INSTANTLY EFFECTIVE! Each chapter gives you one more thing to help your personality become more successful with the people around you. I have found myself changing the way I talk to people, choosing my words more wisely, having a better attitude all around, and whining less about stupid things. Life has gotten dramatically better since I started this book! EVERYONE READ THIS! MAN, WOMAN, CHILD!!!!! READ THIS BOOK! It may be the most important one you ever read! Besides the Bible of course! :P

Sorry...

Haven't posted in a little while. Been really busy with school stuff. Went home this past weekend for prom and that was a lot of fun. Been writing a new sermon on "Treasures" and been doing a lot of Biblical research lately on the end times and the Bible itself. The book "The Case for the Real Christ" is an amazing book. I would highly recommend it. Lots of good research and evidence. All of Lee Strobel's books are really amazing. He does his research and makes really good points based on the evidence he has found. Not feeling really inspired today to make sound profound post, just wanted to update you guys. I am in Advanced Computer Apps class right now and then I am free for the weekend. So I'll have plenty of time to make a really nice, well thought out post. So stay tuned!

Doing some new research...

I have always been very careful in picking a side when it comes to the whole "Pre-Trib/Post-Trib Rapture" debate that has been going on amongst scholars for years. But I am feeling increasingly lead lately to deepen my study into that very subject and see what God reveals to me. I have found some very interesting links and been wearing out my Logos software trying to find every translation of every line so as not to mix up the wording for the real meaning. I have been looking at side by side comparisons to the original Hebrew and been trying to derive answers to this debate and to other subjects about the end times. Like "Who is the AntiChrist?" Or better worded "How will we know who the antichrist is?" Anyway, I would really appreciate any constructive feedback and any links or verses that anyone might have to help me out in my study.
